Castle High School, originally constructed in 1975, is situated on a 92 acre site on State Highway 261, one-fourth of a mile north of the junction of State Highways 261 and 66, seven miles east of Evansville.

The Castle campus includes a 6,000 seat football and track stadium, baseball field, five tennis courts, soccer field, and softball field. Building additions completed in 1986, 2004, and 2009 added an additional 33 classrooms, four science labs, four locker rooms, two band rehearsal rooms, a 600 seat gymnasium, a greenhouse, a spectacular new library, and student commons area, and this areas only Olympic size swimming pool.
Academic excellence is the foundation central to all activities at Castle High School. This pursuit of academic excellence for the 1,903 Castle students enrolled in grades 9 through 12 is lead by an outstanding professional teaching staff of 100. They are supported by four administrators, five guidance counselors, and 35 support staff members.
Castle High School offers students a variety of courses and attempts are made to encourage a program that encompasses all areas of study in order to give each student a well-rounded education. An End of Course Assessment exam is administered at the end of the 10th-grade year. These exams in the areas of Math and English serve the dual purpose as a graduation qualifying exam and as a course of study and/or remediation planning guide. The PSAT is offered each October and students are also encouraged to take the SAT and ACT. Students receive vocational instruction at Castle High School and the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center.
Castle High School students have earned the school a well-deserved reputation for excellence in the areas of athletics, drama, marching band, vocal music, student publications, and academic competition. Additionally, 36 clubs and organizations for special interests are sponsored by the school. The school offers a varied and popular intramural sports program. Castle students and faculty members are actively involved in various charitable and community service projects throughout the school. Through their efforts, hundreds of volunteer hours and thousands of dollars are contributed to worthy groups and organizations.
