Freshman Success Period

"Freshmen Success Period" or FSP is similar to a study hall but much more. Throughout the year, counselors, social workers, school resource officers, college connection coaches, and administrators will present to freshmen on a variety of topics. Some of these topics could include:

Study skills
Learning styles
CHS info-getting involved
College and career skills
Getting out college go week info
Doing 4 year planning
Bullying
Suicide Prevention
Setting goals
High school testing—What tests will I take?
Keeping a high school resume: preparing for college applications and scholarships
What do to with my summer? (credit recovery, summer job, volunteering, summer camps)
Handling pressure
Time management
Social Workers Teen Series (Being a teenager, substance Use and Abuse, Dating, Family and Friend Relationships, coping skills/depression/anxiety/QPR)
